Keith Rand

Keith Rand

Keith Rand was born in 1956. He worked as a cartographic surveyor before studying sculpture at Winchester School of Art. In 1984 he began his association with the Scottish Sculpture Workshop, Aberdeenshire and started to develop his unique sculptural approach to carving and constructing timber. He became visiting lecturer to Grays School of Art, Aberdeen, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and Glasgow School of Art. In 1996 he was elected Associate of the Royal Scottish Academy and in 2005 a Royal Scottish Academician.
