Nationality: British

Born in Bristol and married to the artist Julian Trevelyan, Fedden studied as a scholar at Slade School of Fine Art (1932-6) and taught at both the Royal College of Art(1958-64) and Yehudi Menuhin School (1965-70). She was a member of the London Group (1962-4) and took part in many other mixed shows. She had solo exhibitions at the Redfern Gallery, Hamet Gallery, Heal's Mansard Gallery, Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol and others. In 1988 she had a major retrospective at the Royal West of England Academy, by which time she had been its president for several years. In 1992 she was elected a Royal Academician.
