The next exhibition by Andrew Gifford will take place across both galleries during November. On show in the West End are paintings from the centre of Paris begun over five extended visits to the capital between December 2004 and September 2005. All the paintings were later completed in his studio in south west France. The Chelsea exhibition includes a series of summer landscapes and a group of night paintings of a solitary chapel near his home in the Dordogne. There is also a series of winter night paintings from Montreuil, a Paris suburb, which formed the starting point for a remarkable nine-panel painting of a street in winter. The exhibition is accompanied by a short film that followed the artist as he worked in the French capital and in his studio during the summer.
