Olivia Musgrave - Taking Flight

8 November - 2 December 2006

A new body of work exploring the potential of flight & expanding her characteristic mythological themes. Male figures are introduced from the tentative Icarus to the doomed Sisyphus & Dedalus. Major new sculptures included a majestic Amazon Smelling a Rose and a beautiful Amazon Queen.

A DVD of the new work will be published to co-incide with the exhibition in November. The film shows the progress of the sculptures from the first clay maquettes and then through to the casting process and patination.
