Metamorphosis

The story of humanity is bound up in Greece's ancient myths. It's there to be found in the heroes, Goods, the land, shepherds and animals. It provides an inexhaustible material for a sculptor, perhaps too much. One day maybe I will work on one idea alone and create a whole exhibition around it, like a completely selfcontained world. From this there might emerge a better understanding of whatever it is that produced the sculptures in the first place. γνῶθι σεαυτόν (know thyself) as the Delphic Oracle said. The most difficult thing of all. I am still attempting to reach it.
