Mark Adlington: Night Dances

Comprising paintings and works on paper made over the last four years, Night Dances, is a celebration of London’s nocturnal wildlife. After ten years drawing animals in Africa, Adlington escaped the claustrophia of lockdown with night time ramblings through the streets of London. Nights were often spent in the company of a family of foxes, or with the swans of St James’s park and offered stunning and surprising encounters with wildlife that equalled anything he had experienced on the African savannah.
