North of The Sun

I draw on most days – in our house with my family, in the woodlands and Alps close to home and when I travel. I draw what I see, but always something prompted by the poetry of a fleeting moment: the steam of a boiling kettle against pink, fading sunlight; a child reading in the evening, or sound asleep; the moon rising behind a mountain on a winter’s night; a pink cloud poised above a hill; the first swirl of snow in autumn.
