The Shore

"My family lived by the sea, a long sandy bay. Racehorses would canter along the shore and in the morning when the tide was out and in the late evening they would be led down just to amble along the edge of the water as the sun left...I'd watch them from a distance, I thought it was the most magical sight, and then they'd be gone, just as the sun left too. I'm trying to capture a little bit of that light and feel of the shore at the time..."

"The night before i'd be leaving there, home, for good, I went down to walk along the shore alone in the moonlight, to say a proper goodbye to it, as you would an old friend..."
